Who makes the Bradley Smokers?

Bradley Smoker is a family-owned business located in British Columbia, Canada. Company owner and CEO Wade Bradley likes to tell the story of how his dad got started in the business in the 1970’s. He was an avid salmon fisherman, and he happened to know a master smoker who wanted to learn how to catch salmon. So they made a deal. The elder Mr. Bradley agreed to teach the master smoker how to catch salmon in exchange for smoking lessons.

The main lesson Wade’s dad learned from the master smoker was that you have to control the smoke. Plain and simple!

He experimented with different ways of burning the sawdust fuel to get the best flavor possible. The end result was the invention of the Bradley Smoking Bisquette and the first Bradley Smoker.

The company has come a long way since then and has released four popular smokers. The last one, the awesome Smart Smoker™, was just released in June 2016.

What are the best features of a Bradley Smoker?

What’s there to love about Bradley Smokers? Plenty.

Here are some of the features that set them apart from other brands:

Cooking Racks and Space

The Bradley Smokers come with different numbers of racks, depending on the model. The racks have excellent support, so you don’t have to worry about them tipping and spilling your food onto the ground. You can move the racks around to adjust the cooking space for your specific needs and to give you better access to the food.

The average cooking space is 520 square inches. That’s enough room to do two small turkeys at one time! So if you’re cooking for a crowd, Bradley Smoker has you covered.

Complete Digital Control

One of the best features of the newer models is the user-friendly digital interface that allows you to control the temperature, time, and amount of smoke. You can either select those settings yourself, or you can use the automatic smoke generator.

If you’re a beginner, you’ll find this especially helpful. As you get more experienced, you might want to experiment with different settings to perfect the flavor.

Thought I would take this opportunity to show you how the Bradley is the king in controlling flavour filled smoke. Every 20 min the smoke generator unit pushes another Wood Bisquette out onto a burner plate. This in turn pushes the currently smoking wood disc into a bowl of water, extinguishing it at charcoal stage. By stopping short of the wood continuing to burn through to ash, The Bradley system helps to avoid acrid / bitter smoke release. Remember it’s all about flavour!!! #bradleysmokersaustralia #geteminyoursmoker

Insulated Stainless Interior

Bradley Smoker uses high quality materials in their products. The interior walls are made of stainless steel, which makes cleanup a cinch. That also helps the smoker to retain heat. The walls are fully insulated, too, so you can smoke any time of year and be sure that it’ll maintain a steady temperature.

The Bisquettes aren’t just handy to use. They also add a unique taste to your food. You’ll love trying out mesquite, hickory, cherry, and all the other flavors.

They come in 15 different irresistible wood flavors and will deliver perfect flavor every time.

Bradley’s insulated interior is ideal for smoke control and heat retention. That means there’s no risk of under cooking or overcooking your food. It comes out perfect every time.

This is a safe smoker. Because it’s fueled by electricity, you don’t have to use any hazardous flammable liquids or fire starters. It also has smooth sanded edges that lower the chances of cutting your hands.

Nobody enjoys having to clean up after cooking. Bradley Smokers have stainless steel interiors, so clean-up is a snap. You’ll appreciate how easy they are to clean and maintain.

It’s built to last. Stainless steel protects the interior from smoke residue, and a powder epoxy steel finish on the exterior adds durability. Some users have reported that their Bradley Smokers are still going strong after 10 years.

Finally, Bradley Smokers are affordable. From the Original to the most advanced model, the Smart Smoker™, you’re sure to find a quality smoker to fit your budget.

Are there any disadvantages of using Bradley Smokers?

One disadvantage, according to some reviews on Amazon, is that they don’t always keep a steady temperature in cold weather. Unless you plan to use it a lot in colder temperatures, that probably won’t be a problem at all.

Another disadvantage is that you need to use Bradley Bisquettes to make the smoke. They can sometimes be hard to find, and some people think they’re too expensive to use. The trade-off is a little more expense for ease of use and fantastic flavor.

Which Option is the Best?

Now that you’ve learned about all the different Bradley Smoker models, the question is, “Which one is the best choice for you?” A few things to consider are how much cooking capacity you need, how hi-tech you want to go, and, of course, your budget.

In Bradley smoker reviews, some people say that the Bradley Original Smoker is a better choice because it’s cheaper. It has a lot of the same features as the digital models, but it’s not as easy to use. If money is the most important factor, pick the Original.

Of course, the digital versions are more modern and give you more control, but they’re also more expensive. If you’re willing to spend a little more and ease of use is the most important for you, then you should probably go with one of the digital smokers.

How much do they cost?

The price ranges from about $250 to $700+, depending on the model and the time of year.

If you’re going to spend that much money on a product, you want some kind of guarantee that it’ll work as promised. Well, good news – all Bradley Smokers come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

If you’re going to buy online, it’s a good idea to buy from a reliable and trusted source. That’s why we recommend Amazon. They offer secure ordering and free shipping, and they honor their return policy.

For the Smart Smoker™, it’s now available at Amazon usually for less than $700 but the price varies.
